Barred Rocks

Our best egg layers are our Barred Rocks. Our initial chickens in 2020 were a mix of Barred Rocks and Easter Eggers. The Barred Rocks lay a light brown egg almost every day even at 6 years old. Splendor and Jenga rule the roost.

Easter Eggers

We love our Easter Eggers. They lay a little less often but the bright blue and green eggs liven up the egg basket.

Partridge Wyandottes

Our Wyandottes are our smallest hens but the most ferocious when they go broody. They lay a smaller pale egg. The partridge coloring has double laced brown feathers.

Black Australorps

Last year we added a few Australorps to the flock as our oldest hens began laying less. They lay a brown egg almost every day and have beautiful luminescent feathers.
